- Notes
- Harriet found only three participants at the meeting place but as soon as she reached others members also came and all gathered at Loy salumanya's house the one who got the first stove in this village because it was the first stove for them to see when banana stems are being removed. Harriet took them through the process and encouraged them to pay attention to the whole process because they are expected to learn and implement the skill. It was very interesting to see an old woman in the group being inquisitive to learn and said that though she is weak once she masters the skill she can guide others in the group to remove banana stems. When the owner of the stove saw a complete stove she was very excited and wanted to start cooking on it that very day. Harriet however asked her to wait for more three weeks until the stove has dried completely other wise the stove will crack. The group promised to work as a team to ensure every one in the group gets a stove.
