Notes
David and Steven were in kirwanire village. And their intentions of going there was to follow up on the targeted homes which were still lagging behind in the village mostly in the trading centre and in the upper section. As well as understanding the general sanitation picture for the entire village. While David and Steven was in the village they were joined by Gerald mufumbiro who led them home to home throughout the entire village as they were assessing the general picture for the village. Out of the homes they visited this is what was noted , David and Steven were so much encouraged with Musana Charles one of the homes in the lower section which was still lagging behind. But when David and Steven were moving home to home they found when musana Charles had started working on his new latrine pit . Musana had improved on his new pit by making a stronger foundation for his latrine pit . The kibo staff appreciated musana Charles and they advised him to work steadily to avoid him being disturbed by the on going rains. David also reminded him about his old pit which was almost filled up and collapsing to . Therefore because musana was present in his home he continued to impress David and Steven because he promised them that in two weeks time period he will have completed even the whole construction of his new pit. When they continued with their home to home movements they also came across kalulu Magidu who was still digging his new pit because originally he dint have one . So still the kibo staff along with Gerald were so much encouraged finding kalulu Magidu,s pit about 15 feet deeper. Kalulu Magidu was explaining to David that because the ground was too hard therefore that is why he had to put water and some times lit fire into her pit . He said the water and the fire normally would soften some bed rock surface. David was so much encouraged because he used to be the most complicated members in the community but currently he had changed seeing some good sanitation progress in his home. After kibo,s home to home movements, the kibo staff invited David and Steven into a smaller meeting . They wanted again David and Steven to reunite them as they did some time before the Initiation of the sanitation program in the village some members were not united with mr Bogere Hasani the village chairman because of political differences. Therefore the village and Hasani Bogere the village chairman requested the kibo staff to reunite them as they did once some time back .So the kibo promised to plan it along with the village sanitation committee and the chairman himself during the next village to figure out how the meeting will be progressing . In general according to David and Steven,s overview this was noted the village has slightly slower reason because of the political campaigns which were going on . Therefore the kibo staff hopes that since the campaigns were completed ,they hope that the village will be progressing normally.
