Notes
Martin went to Ibaako, he walked around the village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the hand washing improvement, encouraging the residents about the construction of the hand washing stands and the construction of the new model dish racks, using better poles and constructing them on good standards. On the side of the new hand washing stands, even if other homes are still constructing their new hand washing stands, but good enough big number of homes have constructed them and plastering them, and they are using them to wash their hands, after visiting their latrines to prevent some diseases like malaria, diarrhea, typhoid plus Covid 19. And those who have started using them, they have seen the value of those hand washing facilities. And the group was so much encouraged to hear from the residents, that those who have started using the new hand washing facilities, they have started encouraging others who have not yet constructed their new hand washing stands. And they told Martin that, that’s the best way of preventing some diseases which is always putting much pressure mostly on the side of the children. And some times those diseases can cause death. On the side of the new model dish racks, they are not many, because Martin have just started demonstrating to the community members, how they can construct them. So the group was encouraging the residents to work hard on their new sanitation facilities, in order to help them in their homes. The group walked in 24homes, because that day, the rain started raining at 12:00 am. And the village was so muddy and to cold, so as kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, and because of that satiation, the group decided to walk in those few homes.
