Notes
Ida went to Kasuleta to introduce the program to the community members. Kadulungu the group chairperson thanked Kibo for remembering them after a period of time since Alex Bamulumbye phased out. This village specifically asked for poultry lessons. Ida told the group the basic things they need to know and do when keeping chickens. The first thing is love chickens, if you don’t have love for chickens it will be hard to take care of them as needed. The rest will automatically come like cleaning, treatment, helping them look for laying areas and building coops. Ida took the members in the preparation session which will help members learn what to do when time comes to prepare for chickens. Chickens are easy to keep because they don’t need a lot of attention. Ida demonstrated how to mark the eggs in order to tell which ones are old that they are removed from the good ones. All what was taught is under “ Hatching “
