Notes
Suzan and Tape went to the village to guide the participants as they build their own fuel efficient stoves. When they got there, they were pleased to find the members already in the process of building the fuel efficient stove. They were warmly welcomed to the village and without wasting much time, Tape and Suzan went in the kitchen and began guiding the members as they built the stove. The members managed to master most of the steps from beginning to the end although not perfectly especially placing the banana stems in the right position and taking measurements between the stove and saucepans. Others went out and began cutting the banana stems as Suzan guided them. The members were encouraged to participate in each step so that they would learn easily while asking questions where they didn’t understand. This was very important because at the end of the lessons, they would go ahead building stoves for other members at the neighboring villages on their own. Finally the stove was built and the owner was so grateful thanking each one for participating in the stove building. Kibo staff requested them to always maintain all their facilities especially in smearing all their buildings and stoves as well as repairing the spoilt facilities which were previously destroyed by the heavy storms. They thanked them for working together as a team and the meeting came to an end.
