- Notes
- Suzan went back to the village to follow up on the construction of the kitchen roofs, smearing of the buildings and the stove usage in some homes. When she got their, she was welcomed by some of the group leaders Joseph, Fazali, Scovia and Masitula.
They first sat down together and briefly discussed about the way forward to some program activities, how far other members had reached with repairing their facilities and the challenges they were facing. Joseph the program chairperson said that most members were still attending to their gardens since it was a rainy season but promised to improve on their facilities as soon as they completed planting their crops.
He then suggested they walk around a few homes and check on the facilities which needed to be repaired.
They agreed and began walking home to home and in the process, Suzan identified that some members have managed to build the firewood storages inside their kitchens after roofing them with new grass. Others had smeared their stoves which had previously cracked together with the kitchen walls.
In some homes, the materials for roofing the houses were piled behind the kitchens with some bricks to repair the shower areas and latrines. Suzan reminded the members to see that they repaired all their facilities so that they would look neat because by doing this, they would be able to live a happy healthy life with their families. The members thanked Suzan for the advice given and the meeting came to an end.
