Notes
Abraham met thirty one Ikumbya community members and the purpose was to discuss how they will open a group account and also to give how they used the balance of the money Kibo gave them for poultry project. They chairperson Mss Nabirye thanked the members for continuing cooperation because some during coronavirus lock down they thought the group is going to collapse because they were not meeting as a group for six months. She told the meeting that during the lockdown the chickens stopped laying eggs and she talked to some members about the problem whereby some members suggested to sell them because they were eating food for nothing. She also got that advice and sold the chickens and she is keeping that money, she asked the meeting if they feel it is a good time so that they can buy the remaining chickens because they bought some few which they are now taking care of. The group decided that it is time to buy and replace the ones they sold during and they added that it was a good decision because during that time chicken feeds were so expensive. Abraham asked the group opening of a group account and members said that they want to see how the business will go because during coronavirus they lost much money, thieves also stolen forty birds from the chickens coop at night but they said now they are going to put more lights around the chickens coop. They gave seventy members each two chickens to be also doing something at their home and some told the meeting that the chickens multiplied at they exchanged then to pigs and goats.
