Notes
Suzan went to the village to follow up on the construction of the kitchen roofs, stove usage and smearing of the houses. When she arrived there, she went to the secretary’s home whom she found when she had just come back from her garden with some of her elderly children. They welcomed Suzan to the village and after some time of preparing herself, four more group leaders came from their homes and together they agreed to walk Suzan around the village while checking on some facilities which needed to be improved. As they walked, they kept on monitoring some facilities especially the kitchens which needed to be roofed, damaged stoves, unsmeared houses and the dish racks which were eaten up by the termites. Suzan observed that some members had properly built their firewood stands which were well stocked with enough firewood to take them for quite a long time. Some members had also improved on their facilities such as smearing their homes, roofing their kitchens and the stoves were well maintained which was so encouraging to see. Suzan thanked them for the good work carried out and requested them to maintain the same spirit of working together for an effective development. They were so happy for the advice given and promised to always maintain their facilities as much as possible.
