Notes
David and David went to kirwanire village. Their intentions of going there was to continue encouraging the residents to work hard and improve on their hygiene and sanitation standards. As they were in the village they first met with Gerald and Ben muzzle the two active members in the committee who led them during the home to home movements into the different homes. They moved in about 52 homes monitoring and encouraging the effective sanitation work progress. Out out of the different homes they visited this is what was noted . The on going rains had affected some peoples latrine and the shower areas which were not meeting the standards. And one of the homes which was strongly affected was the home of lsoota Kadhili . On several occasions David had encouraged lsoota kadhili to improve on his shower room by using 3kgs of cement to add on the last corses of his shower room and the latrine pit . Such that the rains wouldn’t affect the shelter for his shower areas and the pit latrine shelter to . But he was stubbornly not listening to the advises even from the sanitation committee. Therefore it was unfortunate finding his two facilities down . However on the other hand it helped David and Steven because he was confessing before them and the other residents that he will be working hand in hand with David and Steven along with the committee. More so listening to David and Steven,s ward of adverse concerning the process of sanitation improvements. Above all when David and Steven were moving home to home they found once again when Kadhili lsoota had completed the digging of his other new latrine pit . And it was about 19 feet deeper. They encouraged him this to use stronger construction materials in order to avoid wasting a lot of energy and time repeatedly. As they continued moving they saw a lot new dish racks in the many homes . Which impressed them so much and also they kept on encouraging everyone to work hard by using good construction materials since it was a rainy season. Also the kibo staff never wanted the residents with the facilities which were almost getting complicated to be also affected as Kadhili was . In general according to David and Steven,s overview this is what was noted a lot of houses and kitchens which were constructed had been affected by the continuous on going rains. Therefore on that note David and Steven were encouraging everyone in the village to construct facilities which are stronger and sustainable for the future use .
