Notes
They walked around to check on the sanitation improvements, assess, evaluate, sensitizing, encourage, teach the use of ash in homes which have proper latrines, emphasize on constructing hand washing facilities and the benefits as well as standardization of all the facilities constructed and planning to be constructed like shower areas, the size and height, latrines and also rubbish pits. They walked in the section of the lower trading center till the swampy area where the chairman LC1 comes from. Along the way they saw some newly constructed latrines, 4 new latrine holes of about 15ft and above though they are yet to construct on them. They met with the residents in those homes to find out when they are constructing on them. There is also a new kitchen in one of the residents home, the chairman has also constructed a new latrine so at the moment he has two latrines in his home. This is because he has so many people in his home. In the home of the Parish councillor Mr Mawazi saleh, his latrine was full and broken. They didn’t meet him there and neither was his wife at home. Enock called the sub-county health inspector to report this case to her so that the sub county health inspector can talk to him to improve on the sanitation of his home. There is also a case of the VHT and Defense who is part of the LC1 cabinet in this village. All their homes have latrine holes but they haven’t constructed on them. We managed to meet with them and encouraged them as well as asked them their way forward. They all promised in one weeks time they will have completed constructing structures on them.

Village Notes
There is a parish counsilor who comes from this village, his latrine is so full but he has never started a new one. Kibo staff talked to the sub-county health inspector to have a conversation with him. He is not always in this village, the chairman of the village said he has another house in the town of Namutumba where he rents. The VhTs and LC1 said they will encourage him to start digging a new latrine hole .
