Notes
Introduction Lorna went to Nabituluntu to teach on role modeling that is characteristics of a good role model and how they can work hard to be like their role models. In addition to this we would look at goal setting that is to short term goals and long term goals and how to work hard and achieve them despite challenges. Overview The meeting was scheduled to start at 1pm however as people started to come , it began to rain and what we thought was not going to be really a heavy downpour became heavy and members ran back to their houses.. Lorna took shelter in one of the members houses where there were other 3 people; Paul his wife and a man who was visiting this family. The house is small and dark as it could not accommodate us .We were able to discuss things ranging from politics to the governments plan of eliminating the people from swamps and when Lorna asked them how this would affect them, they said swamps are their whole livelihood. Paul said that it was where he got money to build his house, take children to School, and take care of needs at home. It would be unfortunate if they chased them from swamps. He also mentioned to the visitor what Kibo is and about the Life Skills Program then he commented on the previous lesson of good decision making. His wife had given him the scenario that we had during the lesson and he said it was a good topic of discussion but commented women don’t make very wise decisions in that story of the sick man and what he would have done before bringing another wife and he said what he did was wrong but if scenario was reversed, the woman would do the same. Lorna said the process is what matters more than the decision. She thanked Paul’s wife for sharing with her husband in what they learnt about. They said that same scenario is what they went through the husband got sick and many people advised her to get another man but she decided to listen to them and made the right decision to stand by her husband.when the rain stopped it was too late to meet and therefore they decided to reschedule. Conclusion The meeting was rescheduled for 11/2020 Wednesday .
