Notes
Irene went to kalitumba to teach about menstrual hygiene and to introduce the family planning lesson. Irene was not able to teach because on reaching the village the chairman received a call informing him of the death of one of the daughters to the members in his village informing him that she had died after giving birth due to Postpartum bleeding and so he requested that preparations should be made because the body was to be moved from mbale hospital to her ancestral land which was kalitumba village. Irene requested that since they couldn’t meet with the whole community members, she would move to some homes visiting the pregnant mothers and those that had babies and other health related issues. So Irene together with the VHT moved to several homes as Irene talked to members in that family and the VHT as the VHT informed the members about the death. Irene then scheduled next week to come back and teach what she had prepared to teach. She also requested the VHT to pass on information to the other members to come and attend the meeting.
