Culture refers to the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people encompassing languages, religion, cuisine. Social habits, music and arts. While gender roles means how were expected to act, speak, dress , groom, and conduct ourselves based upon our assigned sex. For example girls and women are generally expected to dress in typically feminine ways and be polite accommodating and nurturing. After defining all the above Manuela asked the participants to share what their culture entails but before that, Manuela narrated what her gender roles and culture entails, she said in her tribe, culture is based mostly on girl child, women dressing coed , marriage custom and food, Manuela told the participants that in their culture, the girls are supposed to be married when they are virgins, the groom bring lots of cows and goats to pay bride prince, there are some food which where not supposed to be eaten by women for example, chicken, grasshopper and pock, women are to put on long clothing.
