Notes
Introduction
Manuela went to Nabikenge village to educate the community members about women and HIV and cure or treatment. These lessons are aimed at educating community members about the that women are at higher risk of catching HIV virus and teaching them the truth that there is no cure for HIV Virus but they still have treatments as per now.
Overview
Though the roads are bad these days but Manuela managed to reach the village safely, she found community members already waiting for her though few, she greeted them and requested the chairman to open the meeting, Manuela asked one of the participants to pray, after that one of the participants reviewed the previous lessons, it was good to see a woman explaining all what they learnt previously. After that Manuela introduced the lesson on women and HIV, Manuela asked the participants that why do they think women and HIV not men and HIV, no response, Manuela explained that to the participants that because they way God created a woman is different from a man.
Manuela went on and said that, women’s organs are inside which acts as good breading please for the HIV virus live multiple, she also told them that the membrane are so soft that can easily tire and that can lead to easy spread of HIV virus in the women body. Manuela also said that this dose not mean that men can not catch the virus, they do because HIV is transmitted in to many ways , Manuela advised all the participants to be careful and mindful about their lives. But risk still remain high for the women.
Manuela went on and also explained about cure and treatment, she said that people should be very careful because HIV has no cure , she went on and even told to stop listening from what people are just thinking about, the only thing which is there is ARVs and it’s a treatment to control the signs and symptoms in someone’s body.
Finally, Manuela gave the community members home to work on HIV and behavior change.
