Notes
It was very exciting day at kigalama primary school for the girls in that school from primary five to seven, Manuela had a girl talk counseling session with all the girls, she had three major issues to discuss with the girls, indiscipline cases, Hygiene and Menstrual Management she also talked d about puberty as a normal things in life. Manuela started by asking the pupils about the individual problems that they face in their lives, some girls told her they do lack scolastic materials like books, pens uniforms and sanitary pads. Manuela told the girls that since she is planning for inter class parents meeting she will forward those cases to their parents and they will have to discuss it and find possible solutions for that. After that Manuela went on and taught the girls how they can manage them selves when they are in for their menstrual periods, for example Manuela told them if they have problems like stomach pains or back pain, they should soak their legs in warm water for sometime, or use a warm bottle to roll it around their Waist line that process will help them to reduce the pain. During this lesson she also demonstrated how the girls can fold their materials or piece of clothing that they use during that time, she encouraged them to always be clean and happy because what they are experiencing is a wonderful gift from God. She also talked about indiscipline cases, she told the pupils that Life without respect is not good. Manuela also told them that discipline is success for any human being. In conclusion Manuela told them to be good girls who have respect for people.
