Healthy and Safe Kitchens
Notes
Suzan, Tape and Chris went to buyange to meet with the local leaders and discuss the way forward to continue carrying out the program activities after the previous country elections and holidays. The healthy and safe kitchens staff members at the same time wanted to introduce the mvule program to the local leaders since they were planning to phase out from the village after the monitoring and evaluation process. When they got there, they went to the meeting place and found some leaders gathered under a mango tree. They were warmly welcomed and together they sat down and first exchanged greetings then the chairperson l.c.1 informed Kibo staffs how everything had come back to normal after the previous presidential elections. He also requested Kibo group to continue with their lessons as soon as the final elections were carried out which were to be conducted on the 3rd of February 2021. He said some members were scared of what would take place during and after elections in the villages but the security was already in place and no worries. Later after, Kibo staffs thanked all the members for maintaining their facilities after observing that most facilities were improved together with the sanitation and hygiene surrounding their homes. And for that matter, Kibo decided to add them another program for mvule. The members got so excited on hearing that and then Chris stood up and briefly introduced himself and the program to the local leaders of the village. He said he would explain more details concerning the program in the next coming meeting. He encouraged the women to inform their husbands about the new program so that they would turn up in a big number since they were owning the lands. The chairperson on behalf of the members thanked Kibo for the kind love they have showed to them and promised to mobilize more people in the next coming meeting.
