Notes
Martin and Steven were in Namusita, they were their to meet with the local leaders and the sub/ county leaders. To discuss how they can work on the baseline survey in that village. When they was on way to Namusita, they fast went to the sub/county’s Office, to meet with the healthy assistant Busense, unfortunately he was not around at the sub/county’s Office. Martin and Steven tried to call him, but his phone was not on. So they decided to go to Namusita village to meet with the local leaders. And good enough, when they reached the village, the village leaders was already at the meeting place, because they called the chairman LC1, before living Jinja, to tell him that they are going there. So the kibo staff asked the Chairman LC1 about how many households takes water on that borehole, he answered that there are 80 to 100homes. Because the major a-sue which is taking kibo in that village, because they applied to help them, to repair their broken borehole in their village. But in kibo’s program, kibo can not repair any broken borehole, without encouraging the community members about the home facilities like latrines, kitchens, dish racks, rubbish pits, shower areas, hand washing stands and washing the jerrycans. Without that encouragement and those facilities, even the water is unclean. After the meeting Martin, Steven and the village leaders, decided to work around the village, to see the status of the sanitation facilities. Good enough in that community as well as the village, they are some old home facilities and others homes have started working on their new sanitation facilities. Because they have had about kibo’s programs and for those who are having old facilities, they need to encourage them about maintenance.
