Notes
Ida and Diana went to Nabikenge village to monitor the chicken progress in Nabikenge village. The visit was amazing, we found most members with the chicken coops. The chairperson welcomed us, he was too happy to receive us. He also had a chicken coop and a lot of turkeys. This was so appealing. Ida thanked him so much for embracing the chicken program. He said that they were really blessed to receive such programs in their community, they can now afford to take their children to school, hospital bills have been taken care of, their children feed well unlike before when they used to suffer without money. He says rearing chicken has blessed them so much. We went to the next home, we found of lady who is known as Sarah, she also has a big chicken house, which had chicken and turkeys, she was also happy and thanked Ida for taking them through the chicken programs. She says she no longer bothers her husband for money, indeed she was looking good and her children are healthy. Ida and Diana thanked her for the diligent work. We encouraged her to put in more effort and not to turn back. The day went on well as we kept visiting different homes, most of them had the chicken coups and chicken in them, although some of them complained of thieves who are finishing their chicken for them. Ida and Diana told them to report this case to the LC1, so that they can devise means on how to handle the problem of theft in their village. Otherwise, they were really grateful for the good work Kibo has done in Nabikenge village.
