Notes
Jeska went to Naibowa village to follow up on stove building as well as guide participants as they build stoves on their own. She reached in the village and found a few participants at the meeting place . As soon as she reached other participants turned up for the meeting. The participants had already gathered materials that will be used to build stoves while other had gone to collect water that will be used to build stoves. The participants had agreed to build a stove for Niagaga Christine because she had smeared her home facilities and had cut more grass compared to other members. Jeska asked the participants to try to build stoves on their own and this time it was the women to take lead in stove building.it was sad that the women couldn’t build stoves on their own because they had got used of the men taking the lead of building stoves as the women stamped the dirt. Jeska corrected their mistakes asked them to pay attention ,encouraged them to actively participate because the healthy and safe kitchen program directly benefit women than men. Jeska worked with the women and the stove was successfully built. The participants especially women thanked Jeska for patiently teaching them how to build stoves despite them being slow learners. They also promised to actively participate until they master a skill of building stoves because practice makes perfect.
