Lorna was in Naibowa to mobilise the community members concerning the Life Skills lesson yet to start in this village.
Previously Lorna and Manuela met with the community leaders and went further to select a committee that will help in running the Life Skills Program. We agreed that on this day we would move together with the committee members as the6 introduced Lorna to the community and also mobilized for the upcoming first meeting.
As soon as we arrived in the village, we were met by the committee members 6 of them and without wasting time, we decided to being our house to house visit. This village has three zones we moved in 2 Bulondo and a little bit of Bufesa. We together moved in 20 homes and while moving, the chairman introduced Lorna and also told them about next weeks first meeting. Lorna also was able to check in the sanitation facilities as well as the shoves which she found they were all being used and infact those that did not get are asking to be built for even from the other LCs.
After moving in those 20 homes we came back for a brief meeting and we discussed about those homes that needed to improve and the hand washing facilities which they mentioned that their jerrycans are being stolen by those in search of scrap. We talked of using them and bringing them back in the house especially when they are in the garden. Lorna appreciated the committee members and told them to carry out another mobilization sometime next week. The next meeting will be next week Friday.
