Suzan went to kishaike to meet with the local leaders and discuss about the way forward to the continuation of the program implementation after the previous country elections. When she arrived there, she went to the meeting place near the borehole and found three members sitting and waiting.
They happily welcomed her to the village as they sat down together and began discussing about the current situation in the village. Suzan asked the leaders how they were coping up with the village activities after elections and if it was okay to begin implementing the program activities.
The chairperson first updated Suzan about the current situation in the village and how the members were very eager to learn the skills for the healthy and safe kitchens program such as building fuel stoves, and smearing their houses. He said that the situation was back to normal after elections and everyone was back to work. He then went ahead and requested Suzan and her team to go and continue implementing the program.
Suzan requested the leaders to assist in mobilizing the community in the coming meeting so that they would select the committee group leaders would coordinate with the program even when Kibo staff were absent.
The chairperson said it was a great idea and accepted to mobilize the members for the next coming meeting. They thanked Suzan for the visit and advice given and the meeting came to an end wishing each other a happy stay.
