Alex together with the village leaders conducted a baseline survey in Kamudoke village visiting home to home checking on all sanitation facilities in every home. Majority of the homes lack the required sanitation facilities up to standard and there were so many cases of open defecation. A few of the people have the facilities but not up to standards and many lack most of the facilities. The village chairman together with the team from the village agreed that their village is indeed in a bad state and the there is need to encourage all the village residents to improve on the sanitation and hygiene standards. Alex will plan to go back and share evaluation findings with the village leaders and plan for the triggering day.
