Irene went to Budumba to teach about respiratory tract diseases as her last lesson in this village.
Irene started with a review of all the previous lessons she has taught in this village through asking questions to the different members about each lesson.
Irene then asked the members the meaning of respiratory tract infections in their local language, giving the types,causes,risk factors,signs and symptoms,and how one can prevent the respiratory tract infections.
Irene asked members to mention some of the Rick factors that may lead to the spread of the respiratory tract infections and Sulla said,when someone sick sneezes or coughs without covering their nose and mouth, this causes droplets containing viruses to be sprayed into the air, Closed areas or crowded conditions, such as small houses, schools and churches, When you touch your nose or your eyes—infection occurs when secretion touches the nose or eyes,When humidity is low—indoor heating promotes the survival of many viruses that lead to Upper respiratory tract infections ,If you have a weakened immune systemLong time exposure to a cold environment.
The members also discussed about the prevention and treatment.
After the meeting Irene informed the members that that marked the end of her lessons in this village so she will be taking some time to move to another village as other members take over.
