Notes
When Enock reached, he met with the VHTs and LC1 leaders to check on the progress of sanitation and hygiene in this community. They also planned to check on the standardization of facilities, teach use of hand washing facilities, maintenance of latrines, shower areas, dish racks, kitchen areas, rubbish pits as well as encouraging the whole community to use ash in their latrines to reduce bad smell and chase flies out of the latrines. They first walked around the homes in the upper trading centre where they saw some new shower areas, 3 new latrines constructed with bricks, cement and sand with iron sheets to roof. The rubbish pits are in use, you can easily tell through the observation of clean compounds and well swept. They then continued to the section towards the swamp area and saw some new dish racks, well constructed and in use. After they continued towards the section where the chairman LC1 comes from because there were some target homes to visit in this particular area. They met when they have finished two latrines for two homes. There are three homes with latrine pits. They are planing to construct on them. Generally they are constructing good facilities in this community.
