Notes
Martin and Steven were in Kilwanire, their intention was to check on the new home facilities and meet with the local leaders, to discuss about the third evaluation. Good enough, they reached the when the village leaders was waiting for them at the meeting place. After having an opening prayer with Alex Soobye, the had a speech from the Chairman LC1. In his speech, he was just appreciating kibo’s work in that community as well as the village. He said that, before kibo entering in that village, sanitation and hygiene was so poor. For example the latrines was few, kitchens, dish racks, shower area and on the side of the hand washing, residents didn’t know that, after visiting their latrine, it needs to wash their hands. But now it’s a policy to have the hand washing stands and they used of washing their hands. And every home is willing to work on those facilities. And on the side of the third evaluation, the suggested to have at list four or five follow ups, because their are some homes, who have not completed to work on the home facilities like constructing their new latrines and the hand washing stands. After that, the group decided to walk around that village, to see whether they are still working on their new home facilities and to see if they have started using their small jerrycans, to wash their hands. But good enough, the residents are busy working on their remaining home facilities and using their hand washing facilities. As kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group walked in 26homes.
