Ida and Diana went to Maliga to continue with school dropouts. The chairman was happy to receive us. He thanked the staff for loving them. He prays that Kibo continues it’s good work even when they are gone to meet the Lord. The community clapped and thanked the Kibo Directors and prayed that may God keep blessing them always for their diligent support to the community. Ida and Diana thanked the community for receiving them. Ida encouraged them to put on masks and to love their lives, because no one will love their lives for them. She thanked them for keeping time. She took them through a recap, which they answered very well. Diana started by asking them what they know about school dropouts, its causes and solutions to school dropouts. Sarah mentioned that one of the causes is long distance, Mathew also added, teacher pupil relationship, peer pressure. Diana thanked them for their brilliant answers, she added hunger, poor academic performance, poverty. She told them if there is no love in the family, children lose morale to go to school. Parents need to show love to their Children and encouraged them to love school if they want to live comfortable lives. She gave them more solutions to mainly those whose children perform poorly, to consider vocation studies which will give these children skills, give children a positive place to be in. Ida told the parents that they are the cause of making their children not to go to school. This is because they don’t encourage their children to work hard, they want to do everything for these children. She concluded by saying if they love their children, they should encourage them to go to school and work hard for a brighter future.

2021-04-01 - Purpose: To teach about causes of early marriage and advantages and disadvantages of bride price.
