Alex B met the community and discussed the importance of trees to human being and animals. When he arrived,he found the community still in their gardens since planting season has started.The Lc1 one told him that the people were planting ground nuts but they were told about the meeting.They wait for some until some started coming in for the meeting. The meeting began with prayer that was led by the James the Lc1. He also welcomed them and remind them always to keep time for meetings.He said true it was planting season but also the other programs are equally important for the community. Alex B thanked those that so far had come in for the meeting. He told them as they were going to discuss and learn how trees are important to people and animals.He asked the community how trees are good to them and animals.? Nsadhu responded that every creature that breathe in need oxygen from trees.He added that in the community they depend on fire wood for cooking food. Trees some of them bear food or fruits for them to eat. But he had a concern that most of the people do not take trees that is also a source of income to the people. Beatrice added that trees also is food for animals and medicine to them as they eat Alex B told them that trees protect the community from wind that may damage the houses and other crops like banana plantations. Community with high trees always have high chance to receive rain. Animals also can stay under the shades of the trees during hot season.The trees provide beauty in the community and more so big and tall trees. It can be source of income for money and food since they bear fruit. They agreed together next visit to meet the community members in their homes and know about the MCD program.

2021-03-26 - Purpose: Alex B with the Lc1 and few members will be meeting the community members in their homes.This will be for those not yet attended meetings for the introduction of the MCD program.
