Notes
Chris went buyange village to continue with the lesson of how to plant trees, he first visited 8 of the members in the community at their homes before he could join the rest of the members in the meeting. Chris found out that visiting the members in their homes gives him a chance to talk about how to plant and the importance of planting trees as a family and how they benefit the family members, a case in point is of mr kirya Sam, who has a lot of trees at his home , he said he has become a role model in the community because he was able to reserve a number of trees at his home however he welcomed Chris at his home and pledged to partner with him in making sure they sensitize the community about planting trees. Meanwhile during the meeting, the LC3 of the sub county Mr Mubarak thanked Kibo for helping him teach his people about afforestation however he requested for more types of trees other than just mvule and musizi , he said people of buyange have big chunks of land and are willing to plant more trees, Chris promised to take the report to the mvule community development program manager meanwhile as present at the meeting was the LC1 chairMr Ahmed who said Kibo group is the only organization that puts emphasis on building a strong relationship with the community members, he said Kibo has invested a lot in creating a sustainable relationship which is not the case with other organizations however Chris stated that every organization has its own policy of implementing its program and for Kibo group , building a strong relationship is one of them, after reviewing the previous lessons Chris encouraged the community members to get ready for digging holes which will be the next lesson when Chris visits.
