Notes
Martin and Steven were in Kilwanire, they walked around with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement as well as encouraging the residents about hand washing improvement. Good enough, the community members are still busy working on their new home facilities like maintaining their kitchens, constructing their new latrines, replacing their dish racks. On the side of the hand washing stands, the big number of homes, have worked on them, even if others have not plastered them. But they told them, that they are going to work on them, in few days from yesterday. Martin, Steven and the village leaders were planning to have a third evaluation the next trip, because kibo have worked in that community as well as the village for a long time. But unfortunately last week, they had a heavy storm and some facilities were destroyed by that rain, so the village leaders requested Martin and Steven that before the third evaluation, they are going to organize the general meeting with the community members, to discuss about how they are going to replace those facilities. So the kibo staff also agreed on that. Because they can not work on the third evaluation, when other facilities are not well maintained. In those homes they walked in, their some homes how have started replacing their home facilities for example Isa Kagawa maintained his kitchen and he is preparing to plaster the hand washing stand, John Mukwata replaced his latrine and Muzale Antony, he is also preparing to maintain his latrine. As kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group worked in 30homes.
