Notes
Enock went to carry out the last evaluation survey in this community. He walked around with the local leaders and the health community to check on all the sanitation and hygiene facilities. They saw many new facilities say latrines, shower areas, dish racks, kitchen areas, rubbish pits and hand washing construction which has been law because more people say they want to buy cement then they can construct new hand washing stations. I was so impressed impressed when I saw some great improvement in many home which didn’t have proper latrines and used to practice open defecation and this was evident in the trading centre where most people didn’t have latrine. The chairman and his team are super excited and appreciative for the great lessons and work done which has brought development in there community. I urged the local leaders to take more responsibility since kibo is here for a short time but for them they are always in there community. They have to take lead in encouraging and monitoring all the residents to work towards maintaining all the facilities as well as reconstruction when the facilities are broken. The community residents have surely program and encouraging all new members in this village to first construct a pit latrine before constructing a house. Then other facilities follow case in point shower area and kitchen area. Although there are few home which are still constructing new latrines
