Tom had planned to make a visit to kishaike village to meet with the village leaders and land owners to sign the land agreement for the borehole.
Tom had called earlier on of the committee members who said the land owners were present and ready to sign on the documents.
When he arrived in the village, one of the land owners had been called to a relative place for some issues and he later communicated that he would not come back on time that day. The other resident also said he would not sign on the land agreement without the consent and support of the one who was away.
At that point Tom decided that the process of signing the land agreement be postponed to another time. As the meeting was adjourned, Tom asked on of the committee members who was present to take him around the village especially him homes that are yet to finish their facilities.
As they moved around, they saw improvements being made especially in the construction of dish racks. Some residents had also constructed new hand washing stands but were only remaining to be plastered.
Tom encouraged one of the community members who has been helping the residents to plaster their hand washing stands to continue being supportive and encourage other residents to construct so that he can plaster for them as well.
Tom also saw three new latrines being worked on and one especially, they found when the resident was constructing the walls for the structure on the latrine. The resident was using unburnt bricks which makes the wall prone to collapsing especially in the rainy season. Tom encouraged the resident to make sure that he roofs the structure to protect the bricks from rain. The resident said he would get roofing materials to put on his structure.
