Notes
Harriet went to Ndalike village to continue guiding participants as they build stoves on their own. She reached in the village and found the participants in their group of ten people together with some committee members already waiting for her as they were stamping the dirt to build a stove on their own. They decided to do two things on that day by using kibo staff who would be there to guide there. When Harriet reached she guided the participants to build a stove for one of the identified participants. In this group they chose one man called Sunday Philip who volunteered to take the lead. The participants successfully laid the foundation of the stove, measured banana stems, placed the saucepans and successfully built the stove. This was very interesting to see this group doing it with the guidance from Kibo staff. When the stove was a bout to be complete the rest of the participants remained nearing the stove as the rest of the group went with Harriet to learn how to remove banana stems.Kibo staff tasked them to remove banana stems as she guided them how to do it. The participants tried to remove banana stems but only did not expand the hole for firewood and had left some dirt and the banana stem in the vent. Harriet corrected their mistakes , enlarged the hole for firewood to create enough space for firewood and roast maize Incase they need too, removed the dirt that would affect the flow of firewood. She also encouraged the participants to keep on practicing because practice makes perfect . She also encouraged them to keep on looking at the complete stoves for guidance. The participants thanked kibo for being patient with them despite the many mistakes they have always made. The participants also chose Sunday Philp to lead them in their group and their will work with him closely to ensure that they all learn.
