Notes
Tom made a visit to kisimu village to meet with the village leaders and share with them about Kibo’s intentions in the village especially working on sanitation and hygiene as well as fixing the broken well. Tom first passed by Namulu and picked up the mayor who took him to the chairman’s home of Kisimu village. They were able to meet with the chairman of Kisimu and his vice chairman. Together they discussed about the sanitation levels in the village as well as the water situation. The trading center borehole is still broken. The chairman said the village has a population of about 700 homes. Tom was also impressed by the chairman because his home was very clean and had most of the facilities to good standard besides the hand washing facility. The chairman also mentioned of the low sanitation levels in many homes in the village and greatly welcomed the idea of improvements on the sanitation standards in his village. Because the weather seemed changing, Tom left early for jinja. He would call the chairman for future plans as regarding Kibo activities in the village
