- Lesson Taught
- Anger Lesson 8: Why do I feel so angry?
- Notes
- Ida went to Naibowa and continued with the Anger lesson, she focused on how to deal with it.Ida asked the group to mention some of the things they do when angry, they listed as below
1 Damage of properties
2 Shame comes
3 Damage of relationships
4 Harm our selves and others. She also asked how do they deal or handle the situation .Nairuba reminded the group of some ways talked about the previous time; acknowledge the Anger, control thoughts, challenge irrational beliefs.
Ida continued with ways of handling Anger.
A. Don't be bothered by everything. Being slow to Anger means possessing a mind set that allows people to recognize and accept the normal troubles that come with living and relating to others.
B. Consider the goals for relationships. In terms of Christian responsibility to love and serve others, holding back Anger also means having a forgiving mindset. She added that, they may not be able to avoid having hurt feelings but that everyone can control their feelings of Anger and replace them with forgiving thoughts.
Nandase asked what can she do when the person who angered her refuses to ask for forgiveness?
Ida threw back the question to the group and Tibita Hassan said wait until God gives him or her grace. Yeko said pray for that person and continue showing him love.Ida gave a memory verse from the book of James 1:19-20 for the week.
