Notes
Suzan went to the village to follow up on the smearing of the facilities, cutting of grass and to guide the members as they chose the first member who will get a fuel efficient stove. When she arrived there, she went to the meeting place and found some members with the chairperson gathered under a mango tree while some were busy chopping the grass. They happily welcomed her, exchanged greetings and then after the chairperson opened the meeting with a prayer, Suzan began explaining the purpose of the meeting that day which was mainly to walk around the village while checking on different facilities and see if everyone was ready to receive a fuel efficient stove. Suzan suggested to walk with a few members while others remained and continued cutting the grass. Together they went and visited a few homes and according to observations, most of the buildings were not smeared and all the members visited were found cooking on the traditional three stones open flames. Some of the kitchens had good firewood storages while others didn’t have them. Later after, they went back to the meeting place and Suzan requested the members to begin repairing and constructing their facilities before they got the new improved stoves in their kitchens. She also requested them smear their buildings for those who knew how to do it while for those who didn’t know would learn from a demonstration which will be carried out in the coming visit. Suzan encouraged the members to always work together as a group whenever they were carrying out the program activities such as chopping grass and smearing buildings. She then thanked everyone for attending the meeting, wishing them a happy stay.
