- Notes
- Manuela went to Kivule primary school to teach about mother to child transmission of HIV/ AIDS. This lesson was intended to let the pupils have knowledge about how a mother can pass the virus either during delivery, breastfeeding or while pregnant.
While teaching Manuela told the pupils to pass information to their parents and other people in the community.
The objective of this lesson is to enable the pupils understand how dangerous it may be if a mother is HIV positive and she fails go to the hospital, she can be in position of affecting her unborn or a new born baby which is not good. This lesson will help Life Skills pupils to be aware of this.
After Manuela teaching the pupils, some pupils asked whether it is possible for Life Skills program to be aired on Radio by pupils who have undertaken the training to pass the information to other pupils who have not been in position to acquire life skills knowledge and skills.Manuela told them that she will talk to her Country Director.
