Notes
Martin went to ltuba Namalowe to check on sanitation and hygiene improvement in the trading center. Martin was so happy to see that the community members had worked so hard on their sanitation facilities like latrine constructions, rubbish pits, dish racks, kitchens and shower facilities. He walked around that section with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members encouraging them to maintain the required set hygiene standards. They saw three latrines already constructed, two latrines under construction and two kitchens being smeared. From there Martin and the Chairman LC1 had a small meeting to discuss how they can help those who were not meeting the required set standards of their home hygiene facilities. One of the ways discussed was to continue encouraging those who were still lagging behind by visiting them twice a week.Secondly was to give them a set period of their completion. In general Ituba Namalowe the community members have worked hard and improved on their sanitation facilities though there those few who are still missing to meet the required hygiene set standards. Martin and the group walked in 28 homes.
