Notes
Harriet and Jeska went to Kazimba kungira village to continue teaching participants how to practically build stoves. On their way to the village they passes by Iwemba sub county because they wanted to meet the CDo and share with him their work in the village and the challenges they face during their program implementation. These challenges were low turn up of the participants. Unfortunately they did not find him in the office ,they reached him on phone and he told them that he was engaged in the council meeting. They proceeded to the village. They reached in the village and did not find any one at the meeting place. Later participants turned up and kibo staff inquired on the assignment they left them with of mixing and stamping the dirt. It was so disappointing to find when the participants had not yet even collected the dirt at the meeting place. Participants through their chairperson Alexander told Kibo staff that the reason why they did not do the assignment left for them , they had not yet learnt how to mix the dirt and grass , so they feared to mess it up. Kibo staff asked the participants to walk with them to collect the dirt from the anti hill, asked the participants to be attentive,as they mixed dirt and grass at a ratio of 2:1,sprinkled water and asked the participants to join and stamped the dirt together. After they measured banana stems as the participants were watching and finally build one stove. Kibo staff asked the participants to always practice because practice makes perfect. They also asked them to stamp the dirt for the next stove to be built the following week. They also reminded them that kibo’s goal is to empower them with a skill of building stoves therefore they should always try to practice because practice makes perfect. The participants also promised to do the task assigned to them before the next meeting.
