Notes
Alex b and Chris went to nabituluntu to continue engaging the group members as they discuss and work on their group piggery project , at this stage of mvule community development program, the group members start putting their potential to test, they therefore have to exploit the available resources and capitalize on them to see that they can start projects for development therefore for that reason , nabituluntu community group members realized the availability of food for pigs in their community and the fact that pigs grow well in their area so the embarked on starting a piggery project which Chris and Alex have been following up as well as giving them some advisory service the them. The day’s meeting was held at the piggery project site, they built their structure at the chairman’s home , Chris and Alex b found the structure half build however members were coming to the meeting with the timber and logs for construction. During the meeting the chairperson of the group Mr Tulibagenyi said that members were cooperative and committed to their responsibilities, he gave an example of Mrs zula who is a moslem but decided to take the responsibility of feeding the pigs and urged the rest of the members to borrow a leaf from Mrs Zula’s commitment. Chris talked about the challenges they could face and how they have to overcome those challenges, Chris said a lot of diseases like diarrhea attack the pigs especially during their infancy however Chris said this emanates when pigs feed on contaminated foods and water, Chris said to overcome this the floor of the pig shelter where the pigs are going to feed from should be clean . The chairperson thanked Chris and Alex for guiding them from the time of planting trees to the point of establishing their group project, he said this is a great transformation. Chris and Alex b will be going back to nabituluntu to continue following up on the piggery project on 10/05/2021.
