Bible Lesson 4: Loving others
Diana went to Bulyowa to teach about Love in the family. The community had already gathered and were ready for the lesson. This was exciting. The chairman welcomed Diana and thanked Kibo Group for the love rendered to them. They appreciated community empowerment lessons which have really impacted their community. They feel so happy to see Kibo staff in their area. Diana thanked the chairman for allowing them in his community. She promised them that they will do their best to make them happy. She asked them what they remember from the previous lesson, Mbeiza said she remembers taking care of the children, Wabwire said for him he remembers not to undress or dress before the children, Margret said that parents should use positive words for their children, Wako said parents should listen to their children. Diana thanked all the participants for their beautiful answers. Diana introduced the lesson of the day which was love in the family, she asked them what they understand by the word love in the family, Wako said that love unites people. Diana thanked him for his good participation.Diana taught that love is the bond that unites the families, communities and nations. The Bible states that Love one another as I have loved you ( John 13:34), this phrase hangs the success of every marriage, Diana explained this in depth, love your family with all your heart, soul and mind Diana went on to explain that men should love their wives and also help them in the domestic chores for example when Margret is cooking, Micheal should be taking care of the Children. In this you are building deep and loving family relationships, which will promote peace in the community. Diana used the chairman and his wife to demonstrate how love in the family should be. This act impressed the community of Bulyowa so much. This is because the wife of the chairman said that when she asks the husband to escort her for antenatal care, he says “don’t disturb me”. It is from this statement that prompted Diana to call them in front and she requested them to talk to each other in a lovely way. The chairman apologized and asked his wife to forgive him, he will not do it again. The wife also thanked him for understanding. This was so beautiful and the whole community kept clapping for them, for the reconciliation done before every one. The community promised to treat their spouses well. The chairman said indeed they are enjoying the lessons and Bulyowa is going to be a transformed formed village. Diana thanked them for their time and for loving the lessons.
