Notes
Tape went to the village to follow up on the improvements and maintenance of the program facilities. When she arrived there, she found the group chairperson and other members sitting at the meeting place who looked a bit unhappy They happily welcomed her to the village and after exchanging greetings and informing them the purpose of the visit that day, the members told tape how the village chairperson l.c.1 was critically ill with a high blood pressure which struck him in the previous night. This was very sad news and together they first went and visited him at his home. Tape found him lying down on his bed and looked helpless. Later after feeling sorry for him, they all agreed and began walking around the village while visiting house to house and checking on different facilities. During the whole process, Tape observed that the members were cooking on their new fuel saving stoves and most buildings were neatly smeared. She also observed that the members had constructed the high risen firewood stands in their kitchens which also looked neat. She then kept on requesting those found with poor facilities to make sure they improved on them as soon as possible so as to catch up with other members. She advised them not to just sit on the new acquired skills but to begin scaling out in the neighboring villages and earn something out of it. The members were so grateful for the advice given by Kibo staff and promised to put it into practice.
