Purpose of the visit. Manuela went to Kagulu village to meet with the community leaders and discuss on the way forward on how Life Skills lessons should be implemented in the in amidst of Corona Virus. Manuela met with nine community members and they discussed on how she will be teaching the lessons. Manuela had two options, one, teach the ambassador and they teach the rest or divid members in to groups of 20 and teach two groups per visit. Before Manuela would share her ideas with them, she asked for the leaders ideas, they suggested to be taught in the normal way as before, that they will be putting on their mask and maintain social distances. Manuela said that will not be possible because of the current situation , she suggested that how about she teach the ambassador and they teach the rest, they said no, that will not work, Manuela told them that, that is the way to go if she phase out of that village there will be teachers out of you to take on this program for the reason of sustainability.After that Manuela suggested that how about if you divide your selves into group of 20 and I teaches you according to the group, they agreed and they were happy, they told Manuela that on Friday they will gather and divide them selves in to group of 20 people then they inform her about the group she will meet for the next visit. After that short meeting, Manuela and the chairman visited some few homes to inspect the home facilities, during that time Manuela realized that some facilities were no more due to termite eating down drying rack and latrine roof. No cases of domestic violence and child abuse in the community.

2021-08-16 - Purpose: On that day, Manuela will review the previous lessons on Alcohol and drugs then teach about Abortion.
Program Success
Yes, during the community leader’s meeting that was held on the 9/8/2021,one of the community leaders shared how life skills helped her during the lockdown, he said that he was able to talk to her children about the dangers of early pregnancy and marriage. She went on and told the fellow leaders that, she has two daughters but one is very stubborn, but she kept on talking to her as Manuela told them never to give up in talking to their children . One day her daughter came to her room and told her that she will no longer move at night with her bad group, she will concentrate on what can excel in feature etc. she was so happy that his daughter has changed.

Manuela needs to encourage parents to talk to their children about sexual abuse and the importance of abstinence.
