Notes
Suzan went to the village to meet with the local leaders and discuss on how to begin conducting the program activities after the previous lockdown,as well as to mobilize the community for the coming program lessons. Suzan got there on time and found some leaders including the l.c.1 chairman already waiting at the meeting place. They welcomed her and after exchanging greetings together, the chairman Amuza requested one of the members to open the meeting with a short prayer which was done by Naisikwe Rebecca. Later after Suzan got up and first explained the purpose of the meeting that day which was to find out if the community was ready to continue with the program activities. She briefly reminded the leaders the purpose of the program and how it was going to benefit the people in the village, and encouraged the leaders to continue informing and mobilizing the community for the coming program lessons. The leaders were so excited and showed interest in the new Kibo program saying they were very ready and willing to work together during the program activities. This was so encouraging to see and Suzan went ahead explaining to the members how they were going to work but in small groups while following all the SOPs of covid-19 virus. According to observations, Suzan saw that some kitchens were neatly smeared and well roofed as well as other sanitation and hygiene facilities such as the hand washing jerrycans, dish racks, latrines and shower areas. She thanked the leaders for coming to the meeting and they all agreed to meet in the coming week for the next lessons.
