Notes
Martin and Steven were in Namusita, their intention was to meet the village leaders and to discuss about the way forward about kibo programs. Good enough, the kibo staff reached in that village, when the village leaders was already at the meeting place. Before they started the meeting, they had an opening prayer by Alex Soobye. And after the opening prayer, they had a speak from the Chairman LC1 as well as opening the meeting officially. In the chairman’s speak, he was just appreciating kibo and the community members for the good work going around. He said, before kibo entering that village, he was decided to handover. to be know longer a Chairman of that village, because of big headed people in that village. But because of kibo’s encouragement and the community members had working, the Chairman decided to stay as the Chairman of that village. And other, in that meeting, was just appreciating kibo for the good work in that community as well as the village. And requesting kibo to continue with that work. And because of the long period of the lockdown, the hall meeting agreed to walk around the village to see the improvement of the sanitation facilities. And they started at the Chairman’s home, before kibo entering that village, the Chairman LC1 didn’t have an single latrine. But the group was so encouraged to see that he has constructed the strong, clean and better latrine in that village. And other homes have also worked on their home facilities like Shamilu Tusabe, he worked hard on their new facilities, Moses Gulyeika, worked on the new kitchen, Moses Kabazinga, worked on his new dish rack and Jimmy Muzamilu, he stays in Kampala, but when he came back to that village, he just started digging the new pit latrine, it’s now 8ft deep. As kibo is still working in that village, the group walked in 30homes.
