Notes
Suzan went to the village to follow up on smearing of the buildings and the stove usage. She arrived on time and found three committee group members Sanyu, Hausi and Nabirye who welcomed her and together they started walking around the village while monitoring different program facilities and stove usages. On their way, Suzan observed that some members had improved on their facilities such as smearing their buildings and stoves and also it was so interesting to find the men busy cooking on the stoves because their wives were still in the gardens. When Suzan asked if they were enjoying to cook on them, they replied saying yes especially because it cooked food faster yet there was no smoke in the kitchen. About six participants complained that the smoke didn’t move out from their kitchens because they had built them on the wrong wind directions and also didn’t have firewood storages in their kitchens. Suzan advised them to keep cooking on their stoves until they get used to the wind directions which can light up faster. She also encouraged them to construct firewood storages so as to be saving firewood on them especially during scarcity. Suzan was able to follow up on 20 households that day and then thanked everyone for the good work done.
