Ida went to Ndalike to introduce the lesson about harmony and unity in marriage. She asked the community to define “ marriage “ and different definitions were given such as
Marriage is a covenant between husband and wife.
Marriage is when the in-laws agree to sell their daughter to a man.
Marriage is when two people wed at church, mosque or traditionally.
Marriage is when a woman gives birth because without a child NO marriage.
The sub county CDO explained what marriage is and how sweet it can be when based on Love, forgiveness and hardworking.
Ida gave the example of the best marriage in the Bible of Joseph and Mary( Jesus’ parents)
Couples must work together, forgive each other, Love each other and fulfilling each other’s needs.
Ida also encouraged the women to be clean because that will reduce sicknesses related to dirtiness.
The chairperson thanked the CDO for working with Kibo harmoniously and all the help they give as a sub county to the community members and Kibo employees.
