Notes
Suzan’s plan was to go and teach the community members how to remove the banana stems from the previous built stove. However, when she arrived there, she was welcomed by one of the active participants Ms Jaliyah who informed her how they had suddenly lost a member at a neighboring village and that most people had already gone for the burial. Suzan decided to walk around the village with Jaliyah and two more members who were still around and visited a few homes while monitoring their facilities. Some members had not smeared their kitchens although they were well roofed while others were found cooking on the three stones open flames stoves with poor hygiene. Suzan requested those with poor facilities to see that they improved on them before they received the fuel efficient stoves such as smearing both the outside and inside of their houses. Because of time and the need for other members to go for burial, Suzan summarized by thanking the members for the good work done so far and wished them a happy stay and sending condolences to the family that lost their relative.
