Notes
Jeska and tape went to the village to teach the members how to build stoves, remove banana stems out of the previous built stoves, follow up on the smearing and construction of the firewood storages. When they arrived, they found the members had already stamped the dirt and taken it inside the kitchen. Kibo staff requested a few members to enter into the kitchen and start building the stove as other people watched through the window, because this promoted social distance. The stove was mainly built by two active men waiswa and Robert and three ladies while Kibo staff kept on guiding and correcting them throughout until it was complete. Later they walked to a home where a previously built stove was and Kibo staff began taking out the banana stems while explaining each step to the members so that they would learn the skill. During the process one of the female participant who received a stove earlier said that she was grateful for the program lessons because it has improved on her general sanitation and hygiene especially in the kitchen whereby it used to be covered with ash all over. She also reported that the stove really cooked food faster and her family ate food on time which has also improved on her marriage relationship. After the lessons, Kibo staffs went and visited a few homes to monitor the improvement of facilities. Some members had built firewood storages in their kitchens and smeared them together with other structures like the latrines and shower areas. Kibo staff went back and requested the community to continue improving on their facilities so that everything looked neat and healthy in their homes. They thanked Kibo staff for the lessons and promised to do so as soon as possible.

20862 Nawampiti. While Kibo staff walked around checking on different facilities, they came across a bunch of firewood piled outside the kitchen and the owner madam Betty said that her husband was preparing to build a stronger firewood storage for her very soon.
20865 Nawampiti. A kitchen which needs to be improved such as roofing and smearing because the dirt was washed off by the rains.
