Notes
Enock made a visit in this community to check on the progress of sanitation improvements more so latrine construction in the lower section where some few homes had lost Latrines due to heavy rainfall and some hadn’t completed the construction of their latrines. He also taught the core values of hand washing with soap or ash , having a proper shower area where people can also take showers freely during the day after garden work, kitchen areas, dish racks, rubbish pits as well as emphasizing standardization of all the facilities. We continued to sensitize, guide, monitoring and teach the residents on how to construct sustainable facilities and taking all lessons seriously. There are some good news in most of the homes, where most people have embraced the program and constructed good standard facilities. The upper section has many new facilities which are constructed and there has been good sanitation improvements. During this visit, Enock encouraged the residents to go to the chairman’s home to buy cement at a cheaper price to complete the construction of hand washing stands and those that broke due to poor construction where guided on how to construct good and sustainable stands.
