Keneth ,Martin and Steven made a visit to busene village for a purpose of hand washing triggering.on arrival,they met chairman lc1 at his home who called his fellow board members and a few community members Martin introduced the session with lessons of triggering community members minds so that they can embrace behavior change.lessons taught included Anal cleansing materials where he asked members what they use to clean them selves after latrine use and stones,leaves,maize cobs were one of the answers.and he talked about wall contamination where members after defaecating clean their behinds with their hands and after they smear it on the walls. He further taught about the baby’s nappies where most mothers first touch babies behinds to check if she/he had defecated and by doing so they are contaminating their hands and he introduced keneth. Keneth asked the members if any of them had clean hands and 3 volunteers are forth,he asked 2 of them to wash their hands without soap and later with soap and hands rinsed. The other volunteer washed without soap and later we asked her to use ash,and hands rinsed,the community members had to realize the difference in waste water before and after use of soap,and ash and they promised to start washing their hands with soap or ash as a substitute After the demo,keneth invited Steven to take the community members through the demonstration and construction of the new hand washing stand model other than the tiptap Steven thanked the members for being active and asked the chairman lc 1 to provide some 16 burnt bricks took them to the site where the stand model was built . The community members fully participated and they are willing to build more of the stands.
